On the long list of "to-dos" and things puppy needs, don't wait to start your puppy's education. Puppies are amazing learners and the lessons they learn early will stick with them for life. That's why InSync Canines has classes for puppies as young as 10 weeks - we understand the value of early education and want to help you bring out the best in your puppy at this critical stage in their life. After all- what puppies learn first, they learn best. We can help you ensure those lessons are good ones that will help create a great canine citizen.

Class Descriptions
First Step!
Puppy Skills Level 1
Jr Puppies ages 8 weeks to 6 months (please note: any pup without their second sets of shots will need a sign off from their vet to attend classes).
Sr Puppies ages 6 to 12 months
A good dog starts with a strong foundation. In our Level 1 class we introduce your puppy to 6 major concepts they should learn to become an excellent family member:

Basic obedience: learning how to sit, lie down, and drop it on command; introducing short stays

Manners: being polite around doors, food, toys, greetings, and walking nicely on leash

Relaxation: introducing settling on a bed/designated spot

Recalls: coming when called with minimal distractions

Happy handling: accepting handling from owner - gentle restraint, paw handling, ears, examine teeth, collar grab

Socialization: ongoing positive exposure to novel sounds, sights, and experiences that help your puppy learn the world is a safe place

Please Note! The dates listed are the first class of your seven week session. The remaining classes will take place the same day and time for the remaining six weeks (excluding any holidays).

Polishing Skills
Puppy Skills Level 2
Puppies who have completed a level 1 puppy class
Level 2 will grow the skills you learned in Level 1. In this level, we will challenge the puppies by showing them how to maintain their skills under distraction. We also introduce new concepts like automatic sits, focused heeling, and new tricks!

Basic commands: adding auto sits when you stop moving, introducing a hand target and heel command, holding stays for longer periods of time.

Manners: loose leash walking with real world distractions.

Relaxation: sending to bed from a longer distance and staying there longer.

Recalls: coming when called under higher distractions, such as through toys and by other dogs.

This class will also introduce a few fun dog tricks for you to impress your friends with!
